🧭 Purpose
The purpose of Viva is to enable people to live their best lives by enabling effective and sustainable behavior change.
Why
- WHAT WE DO: We build tools to help people become and stay healthy. This includes physically, mentally, and emotionally.
- WHY: Because the tools out there don't complete the whole picture, is noisy, conflicting, and often cause more harm than good.
- WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT: Without effective tools, people are having a frustrating time becoming healthy. The remedy is worse than the pain in some cases.
- WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT: Because if people are making themselves unhealthier or becoming emotionally scarred trying, then they'll never experience the things they can with a healthy body like traveling without discomfort, or loving the person in the mirror, or wearing those cute outfits they have always had an eye on, or whatever their future healthy self would be able to do.
- WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT: We are alive for only a short span of time and there is so much to be felt, done, and experienced in life. Every person deserves to experience, feel and savor it to the fullest.
⚖️ Company Values
Responsibility
- I own up to my mistakes and call others out on theirs as well with the intention of growth for all.
- I am open to receiving constructive feedback and I don't get defensive by assuming malicious intentions.
- I am open to giving constructive feedback and I don't bottle in my feelings.
- I am fully responsible for the choices I make and how my life is. And I prefer it that way.
Integrity
- When I say I am going to do something, I do it. When I say I am bought in, I mean it.
- The reverse is true too. If I don't think I can do something or am not entirely bought in, I'll say it. I refuse to say "Yes" to anything I don't think I can do or truly believe in.
- I always do the best job I am able to and always try to do the quality of work the project requires. And if I'm unable to achieve what I had originally expected, I will accept the reality of the situation, speak up and ask for help, and learn from the experience rather than try to cover it up, make excuses, or beat myself up unproductively.
- When I see you doing things I feel aren't in your best interest, you can trust me to be truthful and tell you - even if the truth does not benefit me.
- I have the same moral and ethical principles no matter who is around me or what is the situation, or even if no one is watching.
